Cards

Anything goes

Right. So, there are various ways you can go with your blank cards. You can draw or paint on them. (I don't do this because I am terrible at drawing). Or you can print onto them, or make a kind of collage. Or mix it up entirely.

I love my ink pad set, and oldy-worldy paper which gets used in most of the cards I make, along with a set of dried flowers. Have a rummage in the craft box at charity shops, I've found so many great toppers and card stock to make the cards with.

But really, go with whatever makes you feel the most happy and content while you're mkaing them. Also, my most important tip is to make the inside of the card meaningful. Life is short, and we never know what's around the corner, so a heartfelt message inside a card is a great chance to say all those things that might not otherwise get said.

I think a great home-made card can be given in lieu of a gift. I loved Rafiki's teacher last year, and was delighted to write all the ways that she'd made his and my life better. She then sent me a lovely message saying that it made her cry, and she'd keep it forever. Job done so much better than a random box of chocolates. (I also bought her a random box of chocolates).
