Check out these things to do with the kids in Conwy, whether it's building sandcastles at West Shore Beach, or letting off steam at Great Orme, I've got you covered, and best of all it's free!
I'm still adding to this list, so keep checking back, please get in touch if you've got any hidden gems to recommend, or if you have a picture to replace any that I'm missing (ie the places that have words). As a thank you, I'll send a 20% money off voucher to spend in the shop for anything that gets used.
I've tried to make sure that all the details on here are up to date, but please do double check on the websites I've linked to before you travel in case anything has changed. Although I'd love to be able to travel to every place on here, time and practicalities dictate that I've sourced a lot of information from 3rd parties so some information might be incorrect (Please let me know if you spot anything that is so that I can amend it).
Especially important: double check parking costs to avoid any nasty surprises on a day out that was supposed to be cheap, and obviously, be careful if you're visiting places with kids, especially where the terrain is dangerous (ruins, cliffs, beaches, slippy paths etc).
Happy adventuring!
A spectactular headland 2 miles long and 1 mile wide, with plenty to interest geology fans. The visitor centre has models and interactive exhibits to give you some local history and wildlife information. It's a great place to start some walks. There's also paid for tramway, copper mine, and dry ski slope.
A beautiful waterfall, with a 1.5 miles walk to reach it. It is accessible for wheelchairs, and pushchairs. Have a read of the parking information before you travel.
A popular sandy beach, great for flying kites, and known for stunning sunsets. It's away from the business of the pier and the main beach (north shore). Please note, there's no lifeguard on the beach.
The 'little sister' to Great Orme. The views from there are stunning, it's a good place to try and spot some seals at Angel Bay, and if you're lucky, dolphins.
Not free, but only £1.50 for adults, and £1 for kids. It was occupied until 1900. A good place to pop into quickly if you're there anyway.
If you're local then bring in proof of address that you live in Conwy and get a free 2023 pass. Otherwise it's £3.50 per person, with under 3s free. Get close to the animals on this working farm, play in the playground, and enjoy a tractor ride.
You know what the kids would love to be filling in as you're exploring new places? An epic activity pack! And it should be filled with easy activity ideas, and stickers, and personalised!
