6 Free Days Out and Things to Do With Kids on the Isle of Anglesey / Ynys Môn (Updated 2025)

If you're looking to for a fun and free day out, then check out these things to do with the kids on the Isle of Anglesey / Ynys Môn. Whether it's seeing the lifeboats at RNLI Moelfre, or letting off steam at Holyhead Breakwater Country Park, there's options here to suit all ages.
I've tried to make sure that all the details on here are up to date, but please do double check on the websites I've linked to before you travel in case anything has changed. Especially important: double check parking costs to avoid any nasty surprises on a day out that was supposed to be cheap, and obviously, be careful if you're visiting places with kids, especially where the terrain is dangerous (ruins, cliffs, beaches, slippy paths etc).

Situated on Holy Island, and made up of heathland, farmland, and dramatic cliffs. There are nature trails, guided walks, and a play area.
A stunning 200 acre park made up of beaches, woodland, and meadows. Keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels
Situated on the site of an old quarry, it's a stunning location, with coastal paths, walks around the lake, and access to Holyhead Mountain. Look out for chough and the peregrine falcons.
Learn all about the history of the RNLI in the visitor centre, including seeing one of the old boats. Then see where the boats get launched from.
A neolithic burial chamber, there's a tomb beneath a mound, inside a passage leads to a chamber. At sunrise on the summer solstice, the light shines down the passage and into the chamber.
