I've tried to make sure that all the details on here are up to date, but please do double check on the websites I've linked to before you travel in case anything has changed. Although I'd love to be able to travel to every place on here, time and practicalities dictate that I've sourced a lot of information from 3rd parties so some information might be incorrect (Please let me know if you spot anything that is so that I can amend it).
Especially important: double check parking costs to avoid any nasty surprises on a day out that was supposed to be cheap, and obviously, be careful if you're visiting places with kids, especially where the terrain is dangerous (ruins, cliffs, beaches, slippy paths etc).

With it's stunning 3 miles of sandy shore, Rhossili Bay Beach has been voted the 11th best beach in Europe. It's great for surfing. Keep your eyes peeled for seals and dolphins, and at low tide, a shipwreck
There's lots of daily hands on activities to keep everyone engaged. You can also hire an activity pack from the museum gift shop for £1, including an activity book you can take home.
Learn the local history of industry and innovation from the past 300 years with the museum's blend of cutting edge inteactive technology, and traditional displays.
A ruined castle, built in the early 12th century with amazing views. There are no information boards, so check out about the history, and fables before you go. Check out the nearby walk to Three Cliffs Bay.
A seasonally open outdoor water park with a paddling pool, playground, and climbing rock. There's extra things like inflatable slides during school holidays.
A community led city farm set in 3.5 acres of land with a range of farm animals, allotments, wild areas, bee hives and farm shop. There's also a mud kitchen for younger kids in the play area. Entry is free with a suggested donation of £2 per adult and £1 per child.
Set against a stunning mountain backdrop, explore the walking trails round the reservoir to the moorland, woodland, grassland, bracken. Look out for the woodland sculptures. Actitvity sheets are available from the cafe. There's also an activity station, and a playground.
A large cave between a rocky cleft, hidden behind an 18 metre stone wall with windows. It's not the easiest place to access, check the guide on the linked website before you go.
Once the largest copperworks in the world. There are trails to teach you about the industrial and natural heritage features including the rolling mill and engine houses.
